Redfern Photography is proud of its affordable prices and high quality, and that clients get to keep a DVD of their digital negatives which includes personal usage rights (so you can print as they choose). Each image on a DVD delivered to a client has been carefully chosen and retouched. All clients must read, agree to, and sign a contract: General Contract (PDF) | Wedding Contract (PDF)
A contract is your assurance that I will deliver exactly what is promised, and will not commercially sell your photos.
Below is a price list for typical shoots, but if none of those applies to your unique needs, please contact me for a custom quote. All prices are in Canadian dollars and include any applicable taxes such as GST.
Portrait Sessions – $250
One-hour session for individuals, families, children, couples, pets, and more.
Can be used as an “expecting” maternity photo session, or a newborn “new arrival” portrait session, either of which can include other family members, children, etc.
Includes delivery of print/DVD package.
Optional add-ons:
– Additional time: $150 per hour
– DVD photo slideshow set to music: $100
– Custom-designed album: cost depending on number of pages
– Client-requested custom/special effects photo effects: $100 per hour
– Travel outside of Calgary/Airdrie/Okotoks: $0.50 per KM
Performing Artists – $600
Up to a three hour shoot with two locations and clothing changes. I can help with finding makeup/hair professionals. Perfect for head shots and shoots for performers (dance schools, actors, musicians, etc.), and includes license for usage on promotional materials.
Weddings
Build your own package! Rather than setting up specific packages, my structure is flexible. The base wedding price is $1200, which includes:
– Consultation/coffee discussion of must-have shots prior to wedding
– Engagement session, including DVD of high res images
– Wedding ceremony coverage
– Post-ceremony portraits (usually 1-3 hours, can be at different locations)
– Digital processing and retouching of best images, at photographer’s discretion
– DVD of high res wedding day images to print/use as you choose
– Travel cost if within Calgary or Airdrie
The high-res images are yours to print, e-mail, or put on personal websites as you choose. I take approximately 50 photos per hour. Beyond the above, the cost fluctuates depending on how many hours you’d like me for pre-ceremony/getting ready, and how many hours for the reception — that time is charged at $100 per hour. I find this offers the best flexibility and cost control for the couple, as well as scheduling for me. If people have a larger budget, they can choose to schedule me to document the entire day… or if a couple wants to keep costs down and only do a few pictures, they can do that, too. The greatest portion of my time spent isn’t in the actual photography on your wedding day, but in the extensive editing and perfecting of your photos that I do afterwards.

*note: if photographer is covering any portion of reception, two seats (for photographer and assistant) and two plates of dinner is required.
Platinum extras:

If you like my photography style and my prices align with your budget, please contact me. I usually meet in-person over coffee with my prospective clients to discuss specifics, so we can get to know each other and I can answer any questions you might have. Please e-mail if you have any questions or comments.
Once you have contacted me, gone over the appropriate contract, and confirmed that your date is available, please pay half (for weddings and performers’ sessions) or the total amount due at your convenience to confirm your date. You date is not held for you until the contract is signed and the deposit is paid.
I can provide a receipt or invoice upon request, please let me know before the shoot if you will require one.
*Note: please take good care of your DVD of high-res images. There is a $250 charge to replace a DVD of photographs if yours is lost or damaged, and Redfern Photography does not guarantee keeping back-ups of images!
